Situated in the Moose Valley Private Nature Reserve, the house is made for long lunches, clear nights, slow mornings, and the rare luxury of being properly away.

The House
A full-house retreat with two main bedrooms, two lofts, two mattresses, and space for eight guests.
The Kitchen
A well-equipped open-plan kitchen with a built-in braai/fireplace and everything needed for a self-catering stay.
The Living Room
& Stoep
A ten-seater oak dining table, a couch on wheels, and a view that brings the outdoors straight into the house.
The Valley
The Kliphuis is set on 100 hectares of property. Guests must respect neighbouring farms throughout Moose Valley.
Simple rooms.
Solid walls.
Nothing unnecessary.
The two main bedrooms each have a queen-sized bed, as well as a private shower, basin, and toilet. The third bedroom is a loft with a double bed, while the fourth loft bedroom has two single beds. Two additional mattresses provide enough sleeping space for a full group without losing the feeling of spaciousness.
Approximately 30 metres from the house, there is a separate outside building with a shower and toilet offering views over the Groot River and the surrounding landscape.

The open-plan kitchen is well equipped, the living room opens to the stoep, and the reserve does the rest.
Kitchen and Braai
Fridge-freezer, ice machine, two-plate gas stove, washing machine, tumble dryer, radio, filter coffee maker, toaster and kettle, cutlery, crockery, and a built-in braai/fireplace.

A ten-seater oak dining table, a couch on wheels that can be moved outside when needed, and a view that brings the outdoors straight into the house.
Outdoor Life
A spacious covered porch with an outdoor dining table, built-in braai facilities, and a long view towards the Groot River. Guests can enjoy walks across the 100 hectares of our property and take in the view from the koppie behind the house.
Basic Rules to Take Note Of
Bookings are for the entire house. Entry is at the guest's own risk,
and guests acknowledge the risks associated with floods, animals,
and other natural conditions.
The rules of the reserve must be respected and should be read upon
arrival. The reserve management may impose fines for violations,
which will be payable by the guest.

The Kliphuis is set on 100 hectares of property. Moose Valley consists of more than 30 individually owned farms. Valleys, mountains, and Gwarrieveld lie between the Towerkop, Langeberg, and Kammanassie mountain ranges. Guests must please respect neighbouring farms.
Vanwyksdorp offers various activities to explore, including wine tastings, beautiful people with charming local accents, and excellent mountain-biking opportunities. Guests can also enjoy coffee and homemade confectionery in town.
